No Filters -

SpamX does not require months of effort to "Train" like Bayesian filters that seem so popular [why we don't know] these days do. Why waste all that time "Training" a spam filter when you can have one that "Just Works" right away!?

No Rules -

If you've ever tried to set up content based "rules" to try to filter out spam you already know how much time it takes and just how [IN]effective they are. Spammers constantly change their content and even make up deceptive, seemingly normal subject lines and content to stay ahead of any "rules" anyone might try to put in place SO... just when you think you put the word or words that "only a spammer would use", the old acquaintance you haven't heard from in years will send you an email with just those words in it and it will get filtered out! So much for "rules".

Lists are "Obsolete before they're complete" -

Yes they are! Spammers change email addresses as often as they send spam and jump from server to server almost as much as that so it's as useless to try to fight spammers with lists as it is to try to hit a moving, invisible target. First of all, spammers send out spam by the hundreds of thousands. By the time a spam is caught in someone else's "spamtrap", analyzed, the list made and distributed, the same spam is almost sure to already be in your inbox. Second, even if you happen to get really lucky and it's not, the next batch of spam sent by the same spammer is so highly unlikely to match what's now on the "latest list" that the list is no longer of any worth - It's obsolete by the time you get it! SpamX doesn't have that problem -
SpamX Doesn't Use, Or Need, Lists!

99% Effective -

Because of the way it works, the advanced technology employed by SpamX starts eliminating 99% of spam as soon as it is installed. How do we know this? One word, "testing". We have tested literally thousands of spams and continue to test new spams each day. What have we found? New spam is eliminated without our changing a thing in SpamX.

SpamX is Not a "Service" -

SpamX is software that runs on your computer completely under your control. It is not another service on yet another server you have to worry about being down, overloaded, just plain slow or gone forever like so many other "Dot Com" companies. If your computer is running and you have Internet access, SpamX is protecting your inbox.

No Specialized Knowledge -

SpamX is simple to install and set up without any "Geeky" scripts to write or internal code to mess around with. We took care of all of that ahead of time to make it simple.

Runs On Any Operating System -

SpamX is a cross-platform application which means there's no more worrying whether SpamX will work with your Operating System. As long as your system will support Java [almost all of them do, these days], SpamX will run exactly the same on yours as on any other. SpamX also comes with its own, fully compatible version of Java that installs with the program so there's no worry even if the only thing you know about Java is how to say it!

Uses Existing Addresses -

Changing an email address can be as painful as moving and why should we give up what we have on account of spammers!? With SpamX you keep the POP3 email addresses you already have on your ISP and use them without fear of being spammed.

Can send to your SpamCop account [If you really feel you need to]

If you are registered for a free reporting account with SpamCop, you can enter your SpamCop reporting address in the Additional Accounts window to send a copy of each reported spam to SpamCop for processing. This is not really necessary and possibly even more frustrating than it's worth with SpamCop being so picky about spam headers these days but it can provide a sort of "double whammy" on the reporting side. SpamX is BETTER than SpamCop at detecting links in the spam body and sends to MORE reporting addresses per unique link.

Blocks Open Relays and Proxies -

Spammers commonly use Open Relays and Proxies to hide their identity. SpamX allows selection of the Reject Open Relay option which causes SpamX to query several recognized Open Relay and Open Proxy lists available on the Internet. If this option is selected and an Open Relay/Open Proxy is detected anywhere in the transmission path for the email, it will be rejected as spam unless the senders address/domain is in the Friends file. SpamX then digs further to discover the true source of the spam and sends reports to the ISP(s) for the Relays AND the REAL source ISP.
The Reject Open Relay option defaults to ON at initial setup.

Totally IMMUNE to Web Bugs, Viruses and Exploits -

Spammers commonly use a number of tricks to find out if the email address they sent the spam to is "REAL" and email viruses can infect a computer using exploits even if the email is only opened for viewing. SpamX is entirely IMMUNE to Web Bugs and exploits of all kinds as its viewing interface does not contain ANY of the "fancy" features found in email clients that provide so many opportunities for spammers and viruses, even if the email is viewed in "Normal" [HTML] Mode. Guaranteed 100% safe when set to either viewing Mode because SpamX scrubs out all Web Bug and other malicious code from the spam before displaying it as HTML so SpamX keeps both you and your email address totally safe. SpamX does not even allow connecting to the Internet when HTML links are clicked so you are protected from even foolishly attempting to "unsubscribe" from a spam. And, since SpamX does not even support any of the "special extras" in other email clients that spammers and viruses take advantage of, SpamX never needs "patching" like other operating systems, browsers and email clients.
